Psycho-educational testing of Children

 

This project is to improve your child’s success and happiness in school.

What is it? A psychoeducational test examines such issues as:

  • Academic and cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Processing and Learning Styles, including attention levels, language, memory, visual and auditory input.
  • Levels of social and emotional development.

How is it done? In addition to interviews, a battery of assessment measures will be selected to suit the needs of your child. These will be conducted by one of our licensed child psychologists.

Summary and Recommendations: The results will be shared with both you and your child, and you will be given a complete report with specific recommendations to address how to maximize your child’s education. Recommendations might include:

Effective Strategies for improved learning.

The basis for special consideration at school such as extended time for tests, the use of a laptop or calculator, accommodation for standardized tests like the SSAT, SAT, and ACT.

  • Treatment Options to address attention deficit or learning disorders.
  • Suggestions for improving your child’s social or emotional development.
